TRADICIONALNI I SUVREMENI PRISTUP U RADU S DJECOM S POTEŠKOĆAMA U RAZVOJU

SAŽETAK:

Predmet istraživanja je analiza i komparacija tradicionalnog i suvremenog pristupa u radu s djecom s poteškoćama u razvoju. Potrebno je utvrditi vrijednosti, karakteristike, sličnosti i razlike, kao i prednosti i nedostatke jednog i drugog pristupa u radu s djecom s poteškoćama u razvoju. Praktični i teorijski značaj predmetnog istraživanja ogleda se u činjenici da na osnovu dobijenih rezultata istraživanja ponudimo jasne smjernice svim učesnicima inkluzivnog procesa kako bi obrazovanje djece s poteškoćama u razvoju bilo još uspješnije, a sve u cilju potpune integracije i socijalizacije djece s poteškoćama u društvo. Društveni značaj ovog istraživanja ogleda se u pokušaju da se kroz ispitivanje i analizu stavova i mišljenja nastavnika, roditelja i učenika o tradicionalnom i suvremenom pristupu u radu s djecom s poteškoćama u razvoju može uveliko doprinijeti prevazilaženju predrasuda o ovoj populaciji učenika. Rezultati ovog istraživanja mogu biti dobar pokazatelj obima i vrste podrške koji su potrebni svim sudionicima suvremenog pristupa u radu s djecom s poteškoćama u razvoju u procesu reorganizacije redovnog sistema odgoja i obrazovanja po načelima inkluzivne politike i prakse. Rezultati ukazuju na potrebu približavanja dva sistema, tradicionalnog i suvremenog pristupa u radu s djecom s poteškoćama u razvoju, prije svega u cilju obezbjeđivanja neophodne podrške djeci s poteškoćama u razvoju koja su uključena u redovne škole, ali i na potrebu adekvatnog informisanja nastavnika redovnih škola, učenika, roditelja i šire javnosti o specifičnim potrebama djece s poteškoćama u razvoju, njihovim sposobnostima i mogućnostima. Smatramo da bi se na ovaj način stvorila povoljnija klima za šire uključivanje ove djece u sistem redovnog odgoja i obrazovanja.

TRADITIONAL AND MODERN APPROACH TO THE WORK WITH CHILDREN HAVING DEVELOPMENTAL DIFFICULTIES

ABSTRACT

Subject of this research is investigation and analysis of traditional and modern approach to the work with children having developmental difficulties. It is necessary to judge the merits and characteristics, similarities and differences as well as all advantages and disadvantages of either approach referring to the activities in the work with children having developmental difficulties. Theoretical and practical significance of the above research is recognized in a fact that exact guidelines, based upon results obtained in research, may be provided to all participants in the process of inclusion, as to enable more successful education of children with developmental difficulties. All the efforts are aimed at full socialization of children with developmental difficulties and their full integration into society as well. 

The social significance of the research is recognized in an attempt that, through a proper consideration and analysis of attitudes and opinions of the teachers, parents and students both on traditional and modern approach to the work with children having developmental difficulties, a conventional wisdom and prejudices on this population of students are successfully overcome.

The results of this research are good indicator of a kind and extent of support necessary to all supporters of the modern approach in the work with children with developmental difficulties within process of reorganization of formal system of education and upbringing and all that in accordance with principles of inclusion policy and practice. The results point to the need of approaching of the two systems, a traditional and modern, within process of work with children having developmental difficulties, primarily for the purpose of providing a necessary support to the children with developmental difficulties who are attending regular schools as well as a need of providing adequate information to the formal school teachers, students and parents and general public as well on specific needs of the children with developmental difficulties as well as their abilities and capacities. We believe that this would create a more favourable atmosphere for inclusion of such children into a system of regular education and schooling.
