POVEZANOST NEKIH ZNAČAJKI LIČNOSTI I AKADEMSKOG USPJEHA KOD SREDNJOŠKOLACA I STUDENATA

SAŽETAK:

Cilj istraživanja je bio ispitati postoji li povezanost između nekih značajki ličnosti i akademskog uspjeha kod studenata i srednjoškolaca. Mjerni instrumenti korišteni u istraživanju su Goldbergova skala, Skala opće samoefikasnosti, Rosenbergova skala samopoštovanja, Skala Optimizma i pesimizma, te akademski uspjeh, koji se procjenjuje jednom česticom. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo ukupno 116 ispitanika (70 srednjoškolaca i 46 studenata). Na uzorku studenata utvrđena je pozitivna povezanost između savjesnosti i akademskog uspjeha, dok na uzorku srednjoškolaca nije utvrđena povezanost značajki ličnosti i akademskog uspjeha. Značajni prediktori akademskog uspjeha kod srednjoškolaca su pesimizam i neuroticizam, koji pokazuju negativnu povezanost, a kod studenata je značajan prediktor akademskog uspjeha savjesnost, koja pokazuje pozitivnu povezanost.

CORRELATION OF SOME FEATURES OF PERSONALITY AND ACADEMIC SUCCESS IN HIGH SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

SUMMARY

The aim of the study was to examine whether there is a correlation between personality characteristics, academic success among students, and high school students. Measuring instruments used in the present study are Goldberg scale for testing five factor personality general self-efficacy scale, Rosenberg self-esteem scale, scale of optimism and pessimism, and academic success, which is estimated by a particle. The study included a total of 116 subjects (70 high school and 46 students). A positive relationship between conscientiousness and academic success was identified in student sample, while in a sample of high school pupils relationship of personality characteristics and academic success has not been established. Significant predictors of academic success in high school pupils are pessimism and neuroticism, which show a negative correlation. Significant predictor of academic success in sample of students is conscientiousness, which shows a positive correlation.
